I have a 2001 s40. Does anyone know where to find a Volvo diagnostic cable that you plug into the OBD-II socket and a laptop? I am also looking for the volvo software that needs to be run on laptop while diagnosing. Thank you in advance for any tips.

If you are talking about the VADIS software I think you can find it somewhere here on the site or buy it off ebay.

 

But to make it work with a car you would also need a VCT2000 which will be about 2k to 3k.

 

yes. You can buy VADIS on ebay, however you cant use it with your obd 2 unless you have the hookup. Vadis on its own is good for diagrams and so forth when operating on the car.
