Question Oil leak under coolent reservour

Hello all....looking for some help. I have a 2005 S40 T5 and there is a fluid leak under coolant resivour and next to belts (not coolant or power sterring fluids). Any suggestions? I looked for hours to see where the leak is coming from as I can see the evidence but have no idea where its coming from. Any help would be much appriciated!!!

Thanks!!!

What color is the fluid?

Hard to imagine anything other than coolant or power steering fluid. How is your a/c?

Fluid appears to be a red/brownish color. I see evidence near what looks to be a motor mount between the coolant res. and the timing chain cover. I looked at the timing chain and its clean. I ripped out the plastic wheel well cover and I can see leakage but cannot tell where the heck its coming from. A/C appears to be fine.

Thanks need2fix. I thought it could be the mount but was not sure if it had an oil type product in it. The stain is under the mount and runs down the frame. After wrenching on the car, that's that only thing it could be. Thanks again!!!

Well I learned something, a fluid filled motor mount. I've owned my 2005 only a short time so information like this is very good.

Mine did the same thing, motor mount. When wet, it looks like tranny fluid but it evaporates leavong a stain.
