Opinions Please for Newbie!
Hello all,
I'm a new member here and am considering purchasing a CPO 2010 S40 2.4i 44,000 miles as my first Volvo. I have some concerns and wanted to ask you seasoned Volvo owners for opinions.
This car is priced way below what Edmunds etal list as the average CPO price for my area. Looked at the car( have not yet driven it so I may be getting way ahead here) and the bumpers, rear deck and interior aluminum trim is pretty scuffed/dinged. Have free Carfax(for what those are worth) which shows the car was in to various dealers for scheduled maintenance and a couple of repairs one being replacement of tranny cooler lines at 41000. Told dealer I couldn't consider it as it's a bit too scuffed for my taste. Dealer says "Good News " we'll fix all cosmetic issues.
Just have a feeling based on the too good to be true low price and dings the car may not have been properly "loved" if you know what I mean. even with the warranty I don't want to end up in the service bay too often.
Any thoughts on the S40 as far as quality/known problems/ issues for this year?
I have decided I want a Volvo for my next car as I want a really safe car and love the design of the sedans. This will be my first foreign car and I keep my vehicles for at least ten years.
Thanks for humoring me!
