Hello, I have a 2001 volvo s40 and I checked and got the p0128 code. I found on here that my problem could be the thermostat or a temp sensor, but I am also having problems starting the car. The starter turns over, but it takes a while for the car to finally fire up. Could this be related to the p0128 code?

Yes. If you are getting a false temp reading it can confuse the computer.

 

Start with the thermostat, the cheaper of the two. Then the sensor. Both very easy fixes.
