Unhappy PCV valve damaged

My volvo s40 2004 model has damaged a pcv valve...unfortunately the only volvo dealer in my country doesnt support imports, they will rather sell the part to me but not fix for me.

help me out..how do i locate the PCV valve?

do u have a newer style P1 s40? Volvo use a PCV box system not a PCV valve.

Default Pcv system

thank you for you timely respond

i think the PCV valve is a component inside the PCV system but wht i dont know is, is it the same thing as the oil filter housing? i have been shown a diagram of the OIL filter housing and it is exactly similar to the one u sent....if it is the same think, i think thats exactly what i am looking for.

yes, u have a P1 model PCV box. the pcv box is part of the oil filter housing. is local under the intake manifold system. to replace that is not something DIY. It require some mechanical skill because it require to move the air box including the ecm away so that u get to it. It is not a difficult job. I m sure there are a lot of great auto tech in your country and they should be able to fix it for u.

i sent my car to a garage for this treatment....i want to comfirm with you guys.

what other spares will i need for this replacement? gaskets, oil....

i bought the oil filter housing, it is fitted now my car is up and running
no more whistling sounds
