Pull the top cover up and check the belt yourself. If it is cracking replace it.

OK, I've got an email in to an independant shop and they said they would do the thermostat, ECT and crankshaft position sensor. What would be a reasonable price for all of those?

Also the dealer said something about new software to go with the thermostat and ECT sensor? Anyone know about that?

I would say labor wise about 2 hours or so for the ECT, sensor and thermostat.

Software BS not for that car!!!!

I'll rephrase: What do they think the software is for?
LOL!

The labor charge to replace all the parts you requested would be $337.50
The prices for labor are as follows:
- Thermostat 0.8hr $60.00
- Coolant Temp Sensor 1.3hr $97.50
- Crank Position Sensor 1.1hr $82.50
- Spark Plugs 0.5hr $37.50
- Ignition Cable 0.8hr $60.00

reasonable?

Not to bad but the coolant temp sensor only takes about 3 more minutes to change when you are doing the thermostat so fight on that one. It should maybe be .05 at the most if you are doing the thermostat.

Sorry the software is a bunch of BS I would not even know where to begin to say they think it is for. LOL

There should be no labor for the wires if they are doing the plugs.

I'll talk to them and see what they can do.
How in the world do I bring that up! LOL!!

ME: "I'm sorry, you shouldn't be charging for plug wires when you are replacing the plugs."
THEM: "hahahaha then you can find another garage!"

Well they need to remove the coils and wires to change the plugs.
So you should not be charged since they are already removing them.

Well my low idles back a little. When warmed up it sits at ~650 RPM's. Sometimes it dips down into the 625 zone.

When the dealer cleared the codes it went away so maybe it has something to do with the crankshaft position sensor or the ECT.

I just don't know a whole lot about these cars...yet!

Next thursday I'll be taking it out to European Motors in the morning.

It cranked hard again today after sitting in the sun all day. I'm f****** tired of this!
What are the symptoms of a failing crankshaft sensor BTW?
