Really? That's good news!

I noticed something else as well. My idle fluctuates when I'm slowing down. It will go down to ~800 RPMs but then as I'm slowing down it jumps back up to 900-1000 before settling right at ~650 RPMs. I'm hoping this is all caused by the thermostat, ECT sensor, and crankshaft sensor. What are the odds of that?

Also one last quick question: when an s40 shifts how far should the RPMs go down? Does it vary at all?

Could be very possible.

When upshifting yes the RPM's will drop some.

 

Anyone have the part # of the coolant temp sensor by chance?
I got everything except this replaced because the one I had wasn't the right one.

they sent me an IAT sensor? It has the same part number I think.
