Hi everyone, just joined, so happy to be a part of this. I own a s40 2.0T b4204T3, it practicaly runs perfect, the thing that is bugging me lately is that when the car hits around 4000rpm it cuts injection and the engine light comes on for like half a second, after that the engine keeps runing, still it hardly goes over that rev limit because it always has that problem. It also happened that the engine died a couple of times after revving it lightly, but it started right back.
So, i plugged my scan tool and found a couple of codes P0336, from the crankshaft sensor, and some old codes, abs sensor faulty signar right front wheel, and variable camchaft resetting valve.
I checked with my pals and more people and we have not reached a common solution, we think that it could be the crankshaft sensor but i wanted to know if any of you had similar issues with this model or others.
i'll keep you posted with any news about the problem, until the situation solves out i¡ll try no to move it around too much.
I give you thanks in advance, tell me what you think P0336
yes, i did, also checked the crankshaft position sensor and replaced the spark plugs yesterday, no new codes, yet the problem is still there so i'll keep investigating, maybe someone had the same problem once. My suspicion is that it could be a vacuum leak, bad fuel pressure regulator or a bad lambda sensor maybe. Thanks for the replay i'll keep you guys posted
