Hey I called my volvo dealer to ask if my radio needed a code and they told me that instead of the code it wasa software. I was wonderingif the radio will ask me for a reprograming software atvolvodealerwhen I disconnect and the reconnectthe batterie. (change battery)

I'm not sure about the software, but you will need to enter the code once the battery is re-connected. The dealer can look it up by your vin# though.

I was told that my radio system doesnt have a code (its a dobly digital one)
Its kinda wierd...
I'm justscared thattheywillcharge me a fortune to reprogram it..

As long as your S40 is 2005 model and Up, than you don't need any codes for it.
If you unplug the batteries and put it back on again, that's fine.
Make sure you need to wait 15 mins after the ignition off before unplug the batteries, because Volvo computer requires to initial the network within 15 mins.

BTW if you want, you can also ask Volvo to upgrade the Software for you. It's around $35-50 dollars for just upgrade.
