Hi all, I have an issue with black smoke under acceleration on my 2009 S40 R-design 2.0D 136HP I suspect it is an issue with the MAF sensor however I have been informed by an independent specialist that it requires a software update. Any help greatly appreciated, thanks.

Can't help on that one but hopefully someone with some S40 knowledge will be along soon.
Have you tried to call a dealer to see if there is a software update available for your car ?? If it would be a likely cure for the problem you're having ??
