I want to replace the bulb of my cig lighter/ashtray in my 2000 S40. Can get the whole ashtray unit out but can not remove the lighter or the bulb. Which needs replacing- is it a case of having to break the cigarettelighter out to insert a new one with bulb attached.? or can the bulb be replaced separately?

 

you can replace the bulb; you need to remove the center console to do so.
