S40 Fuel Filter
Tech or anybody that would know:
I am going to change the fuel filter on my 2000 S40. I have the 1.9T. The VADIS manual requires depressurizing and removing all of the fuel from the fuel system. Is this really necessary to do this, or could I turn the car off on Friday and wait until Sunday, until the fuel system reduces pressure by itself, and just let a little bit of the fuel spill out when I am changing the filter?
Any Ideas, please let me know.
Thanks

You will be fine letting the car sit for a while and then pull it off. But still watch as you disconnect. You might still have some pressure. We never depressurise all the way before we remove them. We keep the drain bucket under it and let it go.
