Default Saying hello. Oh need some advice too.

First and foremost, Hello.
I've just bought my first Volvo. A very nice S40 2L TD '05' 72,000 miles and so far i'm very happy with it.

After going down the path of Astra's, Focus, a fiesta rust bucket, MG ZR and a 453 brake Mitsu GTO that chewed through clutches. I took some advice from Dad and joined the ranks.lol

Next on the agenda a few little ****les i spotted when i got it over a pit.
Bushes are a little worn - thinking about aftermarket PolyEurathane bushes. Has anyone changed or upgraded. How much of an effect in the real world do they make???
Getting a bit of a rumble from the front left wheel when going hard right between 15-35 mph. Think the bearing is on the way out. So i'm asking can the bearing be replaced or is it a bearing and hub job???

Getting between 500 - 540 mile per tank (motorway). Ive seen aftermarket chips claiming to boost torque and fuel economy. Has anyone or know anyone whos done the modification that can offer advice?

I'll leave it there and say thanks in advance.
Danny

Welcome to the forum Danny. Nice to see that you have come over to the dark side. Your cookies are in the mail!!

Anyway, if the bushings are worn, you do want to replace them as soon as you can. They will make the car ride a lot better.

As for tunes to help with fuel economy. Any tune will help as long as you keep you foot out of the boost.
