First off i would like to say im new on the forum so if my post is in the wrong place or ne thing i apologize.

i jus got an 06 S40 T5 AWD

i am getting that "woof woof" noise in the cabin...i see people r sayin that all i need to do is ask for the software upgrade next time it goes into the dealer? does it apply to my year? and does it cost $$?

Can you explain the woof noise, where is it, what speed does it appear, intensity, loudness, what part of cabin?
Curious when you purchased the '06, as '07s are out there.

 

i guess i shouldnt say i "jus got it" it but i got it toward the end of 06...all i kno is they gave me almost 10 grand of the car because volvo made a bunch of them so they were trying to get them out before the 07's came out..

and as for the "woof" noise it comes out of the vents in the climate control somewhere..its a quiet noise i guess you could say, but when the music is off and the car is stoped u can hear it jus fine.

ohhhh i know that sound very well!! haha.... each woof is only like 2 seconds right?? cause if it what im thinking then its the climate control kicking in, but then it decides to shut off quicky prob cause it finds the car to be the right temperature...
yeah i got 8 grand off my 04 cause i got it in 05 pretty much
