Default Someone help me with phase.

I have 2000 S40. The radio is an SC816, the motor is a B4204T. I have the grey trim piece across the front bumper the whole way, clear headlights and I just turned my DRLs off at the switch

Um, what exactly do you need help with?

I turned my DRL's off at the switch too because they annoyed me. Then it took forever for me to remember to turn them on at night

This any help to you?

... as a rule of thumb the early phase 1 T4 had the 1855cc unit with the phase 2 having the 1948cc unit, both T4 engines producing 200bhp/147Kw.

Phase I
1998 - B4194T = 1855cc (high pressure turbo)
1999 to 2000 - B4194T2 = 1855cc (hpt)

1998 to 2000 - B4204T 1948cc (low pressure turbo)

Phase II
2001 to 2003 - B4204T5 = 1948cc (hpt)

2001 to 2003 - B4204T3 = 1948cc (lpt)

Check the white sticker on the side of the black timing belt cover for engine type.

That sticker should also have the engine number.
You could verify the actual engine spec's via a Volvo dealership if you quote that number.
It is all vaguely described and a bit confusing but also refer to the links below.

The T2 was produced in both an 1855cc and a 1948cc version available on Phase I's 1998-2000. The B4204T2 has the low pressure turbo whilst the 1855cc has a high pressure turbo.
The T3, as is in my V40 was fitted to Phase II models, 2001 thru to early 2004, also 1948cc.with a low pressure turbo. (B4204T3)

Checking out by using your actual engine number is your best way of being sure.
