Default SRS Light 2002 S40

I recently had to replace my driver side door window regulator assembly, it wasn't much trouble besides that after i was done now i have the SRS light turned on. I was wondering if perhaps theres something i might have overlooked and forgot to plug back in? Where is the airbag cable located for that matter, cause i only remember having to plug back in the regulator motor and the control unit, besides that i don't recall any other cables down there. Any help on this manner would be greatly appreciated

I too have the SRS light on in a 2001 S40. If I read VADIS correctly, I need to connect a DICE tool to read exactly which sensor is reporting the problem. It could be anything from a seat belt not connected to a bad airbag on mine.

Let us know what you find with yours.

Just to scare you all... My SRS light came on in my '02 S40 and I took it to the dealer. First they said it was a left side impact sensor. They replaced it and the next day the light came on again. I took it back and this time it was the left side air curtain. Now we are talking $$$$. Two days later the light came on again. I suggested that it could be a harness or controller issue. They checked the harness and ended up replacing the controller. The total bill was over $3000. Fortunately, I had the extended warranty.

My '04 Sienna SRS light came on and cost me $800 for a new controller.

My '05 V50 SRS light came on and it just took a software reload to fix.

I would check the connector that is under the passenger seat. They tend to get bumped by things rolling around the floor.
