Starting problem 2000 S40
Post by clp29445
< This evening I went out to start the car. I turned the ignition; nothing happened. There is little to no power available inside the cabin for lights, etc. I figured I must have left a light running inside the vehicle. Anyways, I used a battery charger on the battery for approximately 15 minutes then tried to start the car again. This time, I hear a fast-paced, repeated clicking noise when the ignition is turned on, which abruptly stops when I release the key. Also, the lights inside the cabin are again working normally. >
Instead of charging the battery I used jump-start cable. And still I got only clicking noise.
If starter is bad, how difficult to replace it and where it's located?
Thanks
