sugar in petrol tank!!!!
2 weeks ago some so called freind put sugar in petrol tank, I run the car for a couple of weeks, it rattled a bit on top end when it got warm it went away but came back every so often. Putting in a fuel additive (fuel system cleaner) a week later it seemed to cure it,on monday it died . so i took out sender unit and pump looked inside tank and the sugar had crystalised i removed that and took off fuel filter (which was quite heavy ) i am assuming it caught the sugar , i would like to clean the fuel lines and injecters ,i am guessing the tapping noise(the valves) is due to lack of fuel reaching injectors (like deisels do), i have have just moved house and funds are pretty non exsistent till january i got new fuel filter ,but cant remove fuel lines (push on fittings),can i use a house product to clean lines and injecters? HELP AND SOME GOOD ADVICE WUOLD BE HELPFUL ...........THANXS

don't know if i am good or lucky? i removed spark plugs , injection system ,all covered in sugar or it had caramalised, after a few experiments in kitchen with sugar granules and melted sugar to determine how long hot water takes to dissolve it , i thought sod it got nothing to lose.(it looked like crystal caves when i took out injecters and brown tops on pistons.) poured near boiling water down all holes left it 10-15 mins, and turned engine over (was expecting a bit of a squirt but not that)did this a couple of times once with injectors in,got it dry best i could, cleaned plugs, new fuel filter, after a bit of jiggery pokery with air intake it started,it smoked(smelt like a candyfloss machine) for a bit it stopped rattling when warm. Put some shell v-power fuel in it ,now its quiet (was before) and it pulls like a train now will put some fuel line cleaner in the morning and some more fuel. touch wood ive done it.if it doesnt start with V and end in O car or truck i am just not interested
