Default Switching black mouldings out for Body Color..

Hey all, have a Silver '02 S40 w/ the black door strips and side skirts. Just curious to know if anyone has removed these and replaced them w/ OEM bodycolor mouldings. I have not asked about the cost at the dealer yet, but wanted to ask around here and see if anyone had some price estimates or had done it. I think it will update the car a bit and I have grown sick of applying "Back to Black" every other day.
Thanks in advance for any responses

Take them off, and paint them yourself. Find yourself a can or two of the matching paint using the paint code or better yet have it matched at an auto paint store. You wash thoroughly EVERY piece to make sure you have cleaned off that back to black stuff. Sand with 220 grit sand paper thoroughly, wash again, apply adhesion promotor. Then apply a grey or white primer sparingly, two coats with plenty of time to dry and cure between coats.

When primer has cured (24 hours) sand it thoroughly with 400 grit sand paper. once you're satisfied with that, apply one coat of 3 of that mathcing colour. Allow again 24 to 48 hours in between coats. When the last coat has been applied and cured, you can apply 1-2 coats of clear ontop. Once the clear has cured, wax thoroughly, and there you are.
