Hi I have a 2011 s40 r design with 65k miles and it has a developed a ticking noise between 2k and 3k revs. It stops when accelerating and idling. I've checked the oil and that's fine and theres no warning lights. Any idea what it is and is it serious?

 

Hard to say, as "ticking noise" could mean a lot of things. A bad motor mount can have a "sweet spot" where it's making metal-to-metal contact, and cause something like that. Just look for "unusual" motor movement when cycling through P-R-N-D and back.
