Tire issue

I feel almost stupid for asking this but, I went to check the front brakes on my 2004.5 s40T5 and had a problem with getting the tire off. Took all the lugnuts off and the tire would not budge. I gave it some "gentle" nudges and nothing. Is there some trick I am missing or just not nudging it hard enough?

Your aluminum wheels have corrorded onto the steel hub of the disc. Kick the heck out of the tyre and when it eventually is removed, use some anti sieze on the back of your wheel prior to re-installing it and you should not have any problem. If you were a bit older, you would remember the problems of removing wire wheels from an English auto with knock off hubs. The fix was anti sieze.
