Dear all, I’m looking to buy a very well maintained 2001 s40 2.0t. Has only driven 130.000km and I’m buying it from the original owner who always serviced it at a Volvo dealership.

Is it safe for the engine to get it chipped to get 190-200hp instead of the original 165? I saw some things about piston rods melting if you get the boost pressure / engine temps too high.

Has anyone done this? What is your experience?
