My wife owns a Volvo S40 and we are having the problem of the trunk remaining locked when we use the key less entry to unlock all the doors. She has the glove box currently locked because she stores her GPS system there when she is not using it. Does the trunk stay locked when the Glove box is locked as a security feature or is there an electrical problem? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The glove box and trunk locks are not connected. Have you tried unlocking the trunk with the key? If the lock is vertical the trunk is by-passed when you use the remote.
