does anybody know how to adjust a wat gate on 2000 s40. do i need to put 5 psi on it and then adjust or nothing on it and adjust.

 

go to www.ipdusa.com they sell a tool for the adjustment and also click the video link on the part page and it shows how to do it .. i did mine without the tool and have had a noticeable change in boost and less lag also replaced my stock BCS with the TCV from ipd

You pulling over boost codes though? And thank God for 01-04's adaptive ECU

 

I do wish I had am 01-04. I set it at 1.5 psi it seems to run better at that. I sent my ecu to get an upsolute chip upgrade runs great at that. 4 psi it had a miss at high boost and at 0 psi it just sucked. Do I need to teach it you think

 

no over boost codes and been driving it for about 4days now the only code popping up is p0171 system too lean bank 1 and this code was showing well before i did the adjustments have had many suggestions from mecanics and friends on what could cause the p0171 code like o2 sensors , fuel pump , fuel filter , and injectors and this code started back when i had a injector cleaning service at a ez-lube my advice DONT LET THEM DO IT TO YOUR CAR!! cause when i took it back to them they said it wasnt anything they did id have to take to volvo

 

I hate cheap car work places, my father once took my car to pepboys to get 2 new turn signal bulbs, they ended up breaking both the housings then trying to blame it on him. Ended up driving down there and threatening to call immigration, that did it and then pocketed the 100 bucks for new housing.

 

that sucks man trust me im gonna learn all i can so i dont ever have to let some crappy service center touch my car again
