If I was to look at buying an early Volvo S40 what advice would you give me? anything you know would be helpful

Would like to know every detail about the model, basically the run-down on the S40

I have a 2001 S40 with 99,700 miles. I have had no problems other than a P0128 code for a low Temp.
I replaced the ETC sensor and a thermostate.

Also just changed the timing belt, tensioner, water pump, timing belt idler pulley and
the serpentine belt. Had the dealer do it just incase.

One thing I would say is use synthetic oil and get a K&N air filter.

Very happy with mine.
