Volvo S40 Problem

Volvo S40 Problem
I recently acquired a 2009 Volvo S40 Powershift with 27000 km on the clock. The issue I have is when I brake to stop, the car jerks forward just before coming to a complete halt. The way it jerks forward is similar to when you release the clutch quickly during take off on a manual transmission car. I have taken it back to the Pretoria (South Africa) dealership but they don't know the root cause. Has anyone ever experienced such? I have no clue what causes it but all I know is that it sucks.

No recalls were observed in the electronic engine control:

I would try to retrieve fault code from the EEC. You can do this at a franchise automotive parts shop such as AutoZone for free (I usually buy consumables as a courtesy after having done this service).
I'm not privy to the S40 lines, so wait until S40 experts reply.
