Default Wiper arm

Passenger side wiper is not making contact with windshield. When in motion sort of lifts up and doesn't wipe at all. I was told I need to replace the wiper arm... Is that correct or there is a easier/less expensive way of fixing problem? Tks

sure, simply bend the arm to give it some curve to press a bit harder (you may need to put a block under it to get some leverage). But before you do that, check to make sure the nut holding the arm on is fully tightened.

Also make sure that the joint has not seized. I had to spray some crap in mine for it to get its spring back. You will know if it's seized if you cannot lift it with ease.
