Yep new
hey all I'm new! My son has a 2004.5 s40 with the HID head lights, he hit a deer and smashed a lense, well as we are finding out they are priced very, very, very high and difficult to find. We are wondering if there is a way to replace the light plugs and replace the fatory HID's with standard halogens? Any info would be greatly appreciated or direction to the best thread/forum. Thanks!

Not really. The lens is different for the HIDs and they wouldn't focus the light correctly as the halogen bulb would be in a physically different location inside the reflector.
You'd either have to go with replacement HIDs or if there is a halogen option, halogen headlights and bulbs with the appropriate wiring.
