Default '04 S60R suspension craziness and sparks, any ideas?

Long story short, I replaced the front and rear $u$pen$ion at a repair place that has been good in the past. A week later, towards the end of an hour long drive, it started acting up. Whenever I go over a big bump or brake hard or turn to the right hard, all of the electronics freak out. All of the warning lights on the dashboard flash, the headlights flicker off, the stereo turns itself off then on again, etc etc. If this happens when I'm in neutral, oftentimes the car dies. The sensitivity has varied since the problem began. Also, a friend following me saw sparks coming from the back.

Anyone seen anything like this before? I appreciate all your help.

Jill

the S60Rs have the 4C active suspension which has an electrical connector into the struts and shocks. Sounds like you have a frayed wire that is rubbing on the chassis that is shorting out enough to drop your system voltage. Whoever installed the struts may have pinched the wire in the process but you need to get it inspected asap to correct.

I'll tell them this when I take it in Thursday. Will post back with what they found. Thank you!

We figured it out and it wasn't the suspension at all. For some reason (bought used) the battery, which is in the trunk, was not anchored down and was moving around on hard turns. It had made a hole in the chassis (hence being able to see sparks behind the car) and singed the truck cover pretty badly. It would definitely have become a fire if we hadn't caught it in time. Now it's properly anchored down with wires covered and all is well. Thank you all for your help.
