Hey everyone, I'm new to the forums. I recently bought a 2004 S60 2.5T. It has about 74,500 miles and I need help locating the spark plugs and changing them also I don't know what the gap I need is. If someone would be kind enough to give me a little tutorial on how to change the spark plugs I'd be very grateful. I have very, very little mechanical experience. Thanks!

Ok, I'm a little new at this also, but I'll describe what I went through.
First, mine is a 2.4t so It may be a little different then yours but should still be close.
Second, I got the Haynes UK repair manual and it has great photos on how to do stuff like this.
In the center of the engine, there are two black plastic covers, a long one with six screws and a shorter-humped on one end one with two screws and two spring latches on the sides of the hump. Remove all the screws with a torx bit (I used T27 but it may have been T30). To get off the long cover, the turbo tube was crossing the top of it and needed to be moved out of the way. I loosened the front of the turbo tube by removing two screws where it was attached to the intake manifold with two torx screws (T25) for support and a clamp into a rubber hose next to the radiator. Screwdriver loosened the clamp on the rubber hose, pulled it out of the rubber hose and there was enough movement of the tube to remove the plastic cover.
Under the plastic cover, you'll see a wiring loom going to the 5 coils. Un plug them (I did it one by one, as I changed each plug) by gently lifting on the top tab. Each coil is held into the engine then with one bolt. Remove the one bolt and lift out the coil. The plug is waaaaay down at the bottom then. Use a plug socket and extension to remove. The plugs I bought were pre-gapped, but if you want to check, the parts store will tell you your specific gap (I double checked mine, but they were all fine). Use a dab of anti sieze compound on the threads of the new plugs before inserting them. HAND THREAD in the new plugs to be sure they are not cross threaded. I then torque wrenched them to spec.
Re assemble in reverse: Make sure the coil snout goes on the plug top ok, put on the coil attaching bolt, plug in the wires to the coil. Put the cover on, making sure not to pinch any of the wires, re-attach the turbo tube. You're good to go.
All you 2.5 owners, any clarifications?
