Default 2001 S60 catalytic converter removal

Anyone know how to remove the converter on a 2001 S60 non turbo? I have it completely apart from the head but can't seem to find the perfect way to remove it from the engine compartment. There doesn't seem to be enough room to squeeze it thru above or below. Is there anything major thing I have to remove to get this thing out? Any tips, hints, or info would be appreciated!

this confuses me because the Catalytic Converter is not in the engine bay.
are you referring to the exhaust manifold?

Actually it is because it's part of the manifold. Anyway, I figured it out. I didn't want to resort to pulling the right drive axle but after trying every other way, that was the only option.

Correct me if im wrong, but i believe there to be several converters, in line and at the manifold.

That picture is of an exhaust manifold with a oxygen sensor. So what converter were you referring to?
