Default 2002 S60 passenger door/window gremlin

ok so here's the deal, my 2002 volvo s60 has been having some intermittent problems with the passenger door window and door lock. Usually the door will lock and unlock ok when the window stops working.
This happens sometimes when the passenger window is lowered all the way with the auto down on the door switch. Sometimes the whole door goes dead except for the alarm. No door lock, no window, and no thermometer on the dash. Tonight, my passenger wouldn't leave the window switch alone and it was a fight to keep the window up. Then, for a while I could get the window back up only by holding the button up on the driver's switch, and as soon as I let go of the button it would wait a few seconds and go all the way back down. It did this for a while and then went completely dead...stuck about an inch from closed. Also, that's when the temperature indicator in the gauges stopped working. Please help....it's raining.

Sounds like a failing passenger door module... Mine went bad last winter. Check to see if you can move the mirror, or if the courtesy light comes on when you press the yellow button on the fob.

i was able to get the window up and the lock to work. I unplugged the harness from the door and checked for power to the plug with the ignition turned to II and wasn't getting anything but when I plugged it back in and looked at the window, it was up. I'm not sure when it went up, but at least it did for now. The door lock started working now too. I had pulled fuse 36 and re-installed it, but that didn't make it work.

Where is the passenger door module located? What all stopped working when it went out?

The module is attached to the bottom of the arm rest and the switches on the door are directly connected to it. (They form a single component, but I think they can be separated.)

When my module failed, I did not have a temperature indication and nothing on the door would work. (Lock button, light, mirror, mirror heater.)

I replaced it with a salvaged module, but that only allowed the door to lock and unlock electrically. The module software had to be reloaded for everything to work right. Unfortunately, the dealership "had" to replace the module to reload it.
