2002 s60 power steering leak
large puddle left in garage and second puddle left where she parked in driveway....there is no evidence of a trail of fluid as she pulled into the driveway or garage.
What would be the steps to identify the root problem?

Visual inspection of power steering items. (rack, pump, reservor)
I would get some cardboard big enough to lay under engine.
Get fluid hot by running engine and turning wheels back and forth.
Let sit and search for the leak. As the fluid drips on cardboard it will give you an idea where to start looking.

Check the bottom hose from the power steering reservoir tank to the pump. Mine was leaking slowly through the connection there (apparently a common problem). I cut the hose back 3/4" from the end and put a new clamp 6 months with no leaks.
Good luck!
Good luck!
