Default 2002 S60 T5 head replacement options?

Okay, so just a week ago, I purchased a S60 T5 with 149k miles. The seller assured me the timing belt and water pump was replaced about 2 years (20k miles) ago. He did show me documentation for it.

Apparently the independent shop he had do it must have not done something right or used non-OEM parts or something because today, on my 160 mile trip to college, the tensioner gave out, smack dab in the middle of nowhere perfectly inbetween my destination and my home (I'm a lucky guy, right?).

With the 99.99% chance that it smashed valves, I was curious on to what heads can be interchanged from the different engine models? I have the 2.3T with the HPT and was wondering if any other heads were interchangeable besides just that one?

This is of course if there is no extensive damage to the pistons, rods, or anything else that revolves around the timing of an engine (basically everything).

Thanks for any help.

you'd best stick to the 2.3T head. different models have different VVT set ups, cylinder volumes etc. You can use the engine code to find compatible car models (ie B5234T3 should be your model - look under the hood for a sticker or model plate to be sure). You can shop at Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market to find a used head.
