2002 Volvo S60 bad computer
My 2002 volvo S60 needs the computer replaced. Recently already just invested a lot of money in other repairs. Anyone know how I can get a replacement programed.
I don't want to use the dealership because of hi coast on a old car.

Which "computer"?
In answer to your question companies such as xemodex can repair and "program" most control units to work at less than dealer prices. Below is their CEM page.

Thank you for the quick reply. The notes from where I had the alternator replaced wrote this. "Computer and throttle body codes present. Code 711A-control module 9133-throttle valve. Throttle body computer needs to be re-programed or replaced"
A 02 s60 non turbo has the known to all fail Magnetti Marelli (sp) Throttle module on it. Yes they all fail. But there are running problems/symptoms first - What symptoms do you have?
Thanks again for your reply's. Yes, engine runs very rough and car barely moves in drive. I should have also said that it's a turbo.
Car did run ok with computer issue for awhile, but kept draining battery. After alternator whet bad and was replaced, that's when it would not adapt to the computer and not run.

Not sure what your " would not adapt to the computer" comment is related to. Do you trust this service provider and think they know what they are doing?
The 913 code - There is a known problem with the wiring going to the throttle unit - causing all sorts of problems. Many a not needed throttle unit has been replaced on those cars until the real problem was found. Volvo sells replacements - either the entire harness/plug as below, or wires that can be spliced into the existing harness.
Your other control module code - My shops did not ever see a bad ECU in that year range - I'm sure it's possible - but might just be a bad connection. That would be the first place to look. If an ECU is needed xemodex can solve that for less than a new Volvo part.
Any different (new or used) ECU will not work in your car until it is "programmed"

First thank you again for taking all the time in trying to help me.
So it makes sense that I should first check on the harness you posted. Is it something a novice like me can get to and change. Looks fairly simple and can I find a photo on where it's located? If not that, what would you suggest to replace next. I'm also attaching the actual report from the auto service in case I'm missing something in my explanations. You've been very helpful.

Probably not - Harness goes from the Throttle to the ECU - Can you even see your throttle housing? Do you have the special tools to remove the ECU, and to remove the pins from the plug for it?
