Default 2002 volvo s60 problem

Hi,
I am new to the forum, so hello to all from Fort Lauderdale, Florida (USA). I have a problem with my 2002 s60 68000miles that just started 2 days ago. When I start the car I hear a high-pitch noise from the car (popped the hood and can hear it in the engine compartment). Turned the car on/off a couple of times didn't help. After a little while of driving at city speeds (30-45 mph) no noise. It doesn't happen all the time but has happened 3 times so far. Checked the oilcoolantboth full.-No warning lights from the car. Any suggestions?

-Also as a side question-I have the center console with built in cup holder with a console cover that pivots to the right. I accidently broke one of the pins that holds the cover on and would like to know how to remove cup holder and cover so I can glue the little piece back on-I do not want to break the other side so please help....

Thank you Barb
