Unhappy 2003 S60 2.4T Need Help With Radiator Fan Problem

My original radiator fan stopped working, however at the time the cooler weather made it possible to drive the car without overheating. Once the weather heated up so did my car so I stopped driving.

One cool morning I needed to make a quick trip to the store. I smelt an electrical burning smell on the way home. After a little investigating I determined it was the control module on the radiator fan housing. I removed the fan and opened the module housing and it looks like there was a fire inside.

So I replaced the fan and now the new fan does not work, even after the car started to overheat. I tested the 60 amp fuse and it is good.

I am stuck on what to test next or how to test it. Is there a way to test the new fan; say by connecting 12 volts to the power lines or does it need the ecu input to come on?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Default

Found the problem. There was a recessed pin on the new fan. Once I fixed that all works well.

Default Relay for 03 v70 2.4t?

I have the same problem, radiator fan not working. Checked: temp sensor for resistance, cable for temp sensor for power, fan motor directly to battery, and fan cable for power.
Is there a relay? If so, where? ?
The fuse box cover in engine shows list of fuses and relays on "upper side " as well as "lower side", and radiator fan, ffm8 60mA. Does anyone know where it is?
