2003 S60 auto - Gear selector reduced function
I have a 2003 S60 2.0T S auto which is showing a warning message "Gear selector reduced function". This has been going on for about 3 months; initially the message only came up occasionally, now it comes up every time. However, the car appears to drive OK and the lights on the gear selection stick work. I’ve seen other posts with this message where the lights on the gear stick don’t work. The only thing that does not work is "Winter mode".
I took it into my local (non-volvo) garage and they put it on their diagnostics machine and it shows the fault code 0094 - Communication centre - Module signal missing, but they don’t really know what the problem is. I had a power steering fluid leak a few years ago which the garage says has corroded some of the wiring and this may be causing the problem.
Has anyone had the same problem with the gear selection lights still working?
