Midas told me they could just cut out and replace my resenator, Instead
of replacing hole exhaust. After i left midas my check engine light came on.
I went and had the engine code check and it says i have a air leak near rear ho2s and faulty fuel control ho2s. Does the exhaust need to be replaced as a hole system from the cat back?vice just cutting out and replacing res. Thanks Tim

 

What did they give you for a price ? The stock exhaust is one hole piece no breaks and yes they can just replace the resonator. I just replace my 03 AWD rotted hangers,screws at Downpipe were gone and the heatshield at the back muffler was rotted to the muffler.I replaced mine with OBX R exhaust $400 shipped and its a "better" exhaust.OBX or most aftermarket Catbacks are a little louder but not by much.The biggest question is the $$ if its more than $400-$500 i would start looking at aftermarket company's .Replacing the exhaust on these cars is very easy,It can be done in a drive way with a simple socket set and a floor jack. Do not get sucked in to paying big $$ for replacement Volvo exhaust parts.
