Yesterday my XC90 began blowing thick white smoke from the exhaust. The oil is not low and it has plenty of coolant. At no point did the truck overheat either. I pulled 10 codes which were all for cylinder misfire. My father thinks it may be the EGR valve. Anyone have this problem before? Help!!!

 

white smoke can mean engine is burning coolant. i would check for oil in coolant and vice versa.

 

The trans has a cooling line that sometimes allows coolant to bleed into it. Its the beginning of problems if you don't fix it right away.
