2004 S60 AWD caster & camber specs
Does anyone have the caster and camber specs for the rear on a 2004 s60 awd? I took my vehicle to the alignment shop and they say nothing is wrong but my rear wheel on the passenger side is tearing through tires.
I have taken my 2004 s60 to the alignment shop twice now. The first time they only did a front end alignment and said everything is fine. But I had a bend rim and wore out rear sway bar links. So I bought a new rim, and replaced the sway bar links. Still having the thumpa-thumpa-thumpa coming from the right rear. So I took is back to the alignment shop specifically asking for rear end alignment. Again they said everything is fine. The thumpa-thumpa-thumpa coming from the right rear is so loud you can't here the radio going down the horroribly bumpy road I travel everyday. So now I don't know what to do. Every weekend I have rotated the tires and I am getting really sick of it.
If you have already checked all of the other bushings back there I would look at the shock mount. That could certainly cause that irritating noise.
Older cars can have their bump stops come loose and make a rattling sound, but I don't think it applies to the P2 chassis.

Yes I have uneven wear. It takes about two weeks and the inside tread on the back right tire will be worn away. Again, the alignment shop says the alignment is fine, even after giving them the specs from the above posting. Could I have a bad axle or bearing. If I had any bad parts wouldn't the alignment shop notice it? They did, to their credit, notice the worn out sway bar links.
Tire wear sounds like too much rear camber.....
Sway bar endlinks wont cause this....
It could be a bad wheel bearing.
Jack the car up and tug and pull on the wheel...if it moves, then it could be the wheel bearing or one of the shock tube seals could be bad....
Wait for others to comment.
