I just bought a 2004 S60 2.5t and the climate control buttons are sticking. By the location of the front cup holder I'm assuming the previous owner spilled coffee or soda on the middle console. I was thinking about spraying some rubbing alcohol into the buttons and working them free.

I was wondering how tough it is to pull off this panel to acess the buttons and what solvents can be used. Any ideas?

I wouldn't pull the panel try to clean it where it sits.
