2004 S60 "snap in, side windshield molding"
When I bought my 04' S60 a few months ago, both sides of the painted, snap in windshield moldings were missing, as part of the deal I had the dealer install new moldings. So, I'm going down the highway in south Texas, doing about 75 mph when I hear this loud, zipper-snapping kinda sound...it was 5 a.m. and still dark, I pull over and the damn drivers side molding is completely gone. The clips are still there, but the molding is laying somewhere in a ditch.
My questions is....what would cause this problem to happen? Has anyone else had this problem? If so, whats the fix so it doesnt happen again? This obviously is not the first time this has happened with this car. The moldings are not cheap, almost $200 for each side. Does anyone have a source of moldings other than the dealership??
Thanks,
Dustin
