2005 S60 Fuel
I have had my new(10K miles) s60 T5 (turbo) in the shop 3 times with the check engine light. The dealer started by saying there was condensation in the distributor cap, or maybe a bad spark plug wire. Then they reset the light, it went out, two days later back on but by the time I got it to the shop it was out, now 3 days later it is on again and they are saying there may be a compression problem in the #2 cyl., that does not sound good to me. They asked if we always put premium fuel in, HAS ANYONE HEARD that you must use premium?? I looked in the manual and it suggests but does not state it is required.... As you may imagine I am VERY frustrated that my new cars engine may need rebuilding due to what they are saying is bad gas!! Is fixing the #2 cyl. a big ordeal and bad foot to get off on with my NEW car?? Help!
Thanks for the reply. OK I'm showing my lack of knowledge of my new car. I thought the spark plugs went into the dist. If it is a bad coil for #2 is that a major repair. They are talking about opening up the top end of the head, sounds bad?
