2006 S60R Anti-Skid Service Required message
Hi all,
I've read a few posts about the anti-skid message but I'm hoping to get more clarification.
Yesterday the "anti-skid service required" message came on shortly after the "Time for regular maintenance" message appeared. I have just over 84K miles on the car.
I recently had an alignment done (last week) and I'm also aware that A) my front brakes are just about due for replacement, and B) I seem to have an out-of-balance wheel because I get a noticeable vibration around 60mph. I mentioned these items in case any of them may be related.
I live in Hawaii and there's not dealership here and I have yet to purchase the VIDA/DICE gear. My regular mechanic has a pretty high-end diagnostic reader which he's used for some other stuff, but I don't know if that's sufficient to dig into this issue.
So I guess my first question is; can any of the issues I mentioned be related to these messages, and my 2nd question is - should I try having my mechanic take a look with his diagnostic reader or do I really need to pony up and setup the VIDA/DICE stuff?
I appreciate any advice anyone can offer. Thanks a bunch!

I have an 08 S60 2.5T. The anti-skid message on mine wound up being the clock sensor on the steering column. It would only come on when turned to full lock and would then go off after driving for several minutes.
