I'm in a bit of a pickle with my trusty 2006 Volvo S60. It has 118k miles Recently, it decided to give me a scare and stalled on the side of the road. After taking it to the mechanic, they diagnosed it with needing a new fuel pump and fuel pump control module. On top of that, they recommended some general maintenance with front rotors and pads.
Now, I'm torn. I've had a great run with this car, and I'm sentimentally attached to it. But at the same time, I don't want to break the bank on repairs.
So, here's where I could use your input. Do you think it's worth going ahead with the repairs? And if so, any suggestions on how to keep the costs down? I'm open to exploring options like sourcing parts from elsewhere to save some bucks.
