2011 s60
Hi everyone,
I am new to the forum and I must admit that I am getting excited about the new S60. I know there is still lots of information missing on this car yet but it looks promising. I am not sure which site I was one but you could customize your S60 (no pricing) and was shocked to see they didn't have white as an available color. It will be interesting to see what colors will be available for North America but that may be a deal breaker for me as I love white cars.
What are your thoughts on the 2011 S60 so far guys...excited or luke warm response. I also know very little about Volvo's reliability (although I do know about their safety) and would like some input as well. I know that with Acura, reliability is a major advantage and if I do leave the Acura family, it will be hard to match their 'peace of mind' reliability.
Also, it appears Volvo is trying to bring the "fun to drive" into their 2011 model, that should be a good thing right
Cheers and thanks in advance

An all new S 60? Wow. Last time that happened was 2001. Lots and lots of people have posted here about how reliable and inexpensive their 01 S60's are to keep. Since this is another Ford-developed car, I'm sure the experience will be similar for this "all new" model.
Me? Texas or California trip ----- El Paso or Pasadena --- if you catch my drift. Pioneers get scalped. Not me. As pretty as it is. I'm waiting.

JKS2...So I guess I am not the only one drooling!! I am curious as to why this forum is relatively "un-involved". I can't seem to see too much excitment on what appears to be a very exciting and great looking car. Is it that most Volvo buyers are passionate or have just lost their love for the brand?
Giving that the S60 has been out of production for a while, you would think people would be lining up to post their comments but "au contraire", it seems that nobody seems to care. I am sure that its not good news for Volvo wh is trying to get some excitment back into the brand.
Maybe I'll have to re-evaluate the vehicle/brand because I can assure you that most other forum would have about 10 000 posts about their upcoming model, just go to ACURAZINE for example and see how people are passionate about their cars.
Is Volvo an old man's car and these folks haven't heard about the internet??

Only out of production for a year (no 2010 model). Sheet metal redo and I'm sure some other advancements/changes. I don't think it will suffer some of the same problems of the 2001 as it was a brand new platform.
I've had my 02 S60 since 2005 and I still love it.
