2012 volvo s60 t5 alternator change
I have confirmed that I need to change my alternator in my s60 t5. Not interested in doing on voltage regulator. Has anyone changed the alternator on this car? I see this video but it's missing some of the step-by-step instructions.
I am wondering how hard it is to remove manifold? Really only 7 bolts? nothing to remove before that? How hard is it to remove the 2 bottom bolts? anything that was an issue? I'm not a mechanic but do some work on my car that I can figure out and am generally handy.
Appreciate it as I cannot afford an $800 repair at this time and need the car on the road. thank you all!

why are you saying your not interested in only doing the regulator? Any reason why you'd suspect you need to replace the alternator itself (ie noises/wobbles) or has it stopped charging (which is where the regulator is a prime suspect).
I noted that vid is for the T6 and you have a T5. Probably a good idea to find a vid for the 5 cylinder cars and make note of the process and tools required. If you are replacing the altnerator, you'll need to remove the serpentine belt, which is a good time to inspect/service idlers, refresh the belt, refresh the tensioner etc
