New guy here, I have been reading for a while. I haven't wrenched on the car much as we bought the extended warranty, now that it's up seems many items are coming up quick...
I started on the struts this weekend, they were a lot more difficult than a typical strut install, I have a couple questions

1) Bilstein struts 22-182876 and 22-182869 with no instructions, there is a tab on the rear should this sit on top of the lower mount or slide in the groove and stop near the bolt?

2) I had one hell of a time seating these in the lower mount, i assume this is typical with this style lower mount?

3) any tips or tricks?
