I'd like to add parking sensors, and not the $1900 option Volvo charges. There are quite a few kits online that are less than $100.

My question is, has anyone installed any of these kits? Instead of installing them on the bumper, I'd like to put them on the part below the bumper, between the exhaust tips. I think this is called the bumper molding.

 

I have installed aftermarket ones on a few. If you want to keep it looking OEM, when you take the bumper off, the bumper has these markings where it shows you where to drill. But if you don't want to do that then you could always do the half *** job of just drilling anywhere you want. :P I recommend taking the bumper off and just follow the harness and it'll lead you to the interior side.

 

Thanks Vida! I thought about the bumpers having the sensor locations already marked. It's good to know they are there.

Plus I can wrap the new wires into the harness and keep everything neat.
